Injured rider is airlifted overseas

The 23-year-old Sandys parish man seriously injured in an early morning road traffic accident on Malabar Road has been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.
The accident occurred on Malabar Road around 1.15am on Saturday when the motorcycle was involved in a collision with a SUV near the junction with Kitchener Road.
The rider was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Both vehicles were damaged, the motorcycle extensively. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
