Insurance company staff brighten Sunshine League property
An 80-strong team of corporate staff rolled up its sleeves to work on the property of the Sunshine League children’s and family facility.
Insurers Marsh and Guy Carpenter teamed up for initiative, part of a community giving day held since 2010.
The building got a fresh coat of pain, an outdoor sitting area and play space. Workers also planted crops in its sustainable garden, which the Sunshine League maintains with the help of Greenrock.
“We were thrilled when Marsh and Guy Carpenter approached us with the idea of working together,” said Glenn Faries, Sunshine League director.
“While we are no longer a residential facility, we are still committed to supporting Bermuda’s children and their families. The work that’s being done today at the property and in the sustainable garden is a key component in fulfilling our vision.”
