Ahead of the annual meeting of Overseas Territories leaders this month in London, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office is featuring an overseas territory on Facebook every day. Bermuda will be today’s selection.

The annual Overseas Territories Joint Ministerial Council brings together political leaders from the Overseas Territories and UK Ministers.

It will meet on November 26 and 27, hosted by FCO Minister for the Overseas Territories, Mark Simmonds.

Governor George Fergusson hopes Bermuda residents will take time out to view the new Facebook page.

“The discussions going on in London at the end of the month will involve topics which are important for each Overseas Territory, including Bermuda,” he said. “We can learn from some of their experiences — and I am sure they can certainly learn from us.”
