CADA strikes optimistic note
The Road Safety Council and anti-drunk driving group CADA have said they are optimistic following a Christmas Holiday without a serious traffic collision.
“We believe our messages, and those of our strategic partners, are being heard by the residents of Bermuda,” Anthony Santucci, the CADA chairman, said. “Police reports about the minimal number of road challenges this weekend are encouraging.”
Carlton Crockwell, chairman of the Road Safety Council, agreed, stressing the role that alcohol and drugs are known to play in contributing to serious and fatal accidents in Bermuda.
“Together we must remain focused and committed and continue to take responsibility to eliminate drinking and driving,” he said. “We believe this will go a long way to further reducing, and eventually eradicating, traffic deaths and accidents on our roads.”
