Fun for all the family
A free bike race for children of primary school age is on offer in the Arboretum on Saturday.
The Tokio Millennium Youth Mountain Bike Race kicks off at 4pm, and is aimed at family fun rather than a competition.
Sanctioned by the Bermuda Bicycle Association, the event is aimed at introducing youngsters to cycling with a series of races broken into age categories.
An adventure course for older riders, with the help of the Fat Tyre Massive group, will be a few feature of the ongoing race series.
Children are free to use any kind of bike, including those with training wheels.
Parents are asked to ensure that each child comes with a helmet, and wears closed toe, athletic shoes.
Entry forms are available at the race, at Bicycle Works, or via the websites www.tokiomillennium.com or www.bermudabicycle.org.
