Bermuda’s mariners gathered to pay their respects to their comrades lost at sea at two separate annual Seaman’s Services held at the East End.
Marine and Ports staff and other boatmen gathered at the St Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church for a service presided over by Pastor Milton Burgess and at the Chapel of Ease for the Seaman’s Sunday service with Reverend David Raths and Bishop Nicholas Dill.
The services were followed by wreath-laying ceremonies in which the wreaths were committed to the sea at Five Fathom Hole off St David’s Head.
