Salon customers can help give students a stylish head start
Luxe salon are looking to offer customers so much more than just a hair cut — by launching a new programme allowing people to give back to children in Bermuda.
The salon, which opened its doors three months ago, has begun a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda to offer a “Get Luxed for School” programme.
Two dollars from every haircut and style administered from now until the summer will go towards paying for back-to-school styles for children registered within the BBBS of Bermuda programme.
Makeda Goater, the owner of Luxe Salon, admitted she was passionate about community outreach.
In addition to the new programme, Ms Goater is looking to provide excellent quality services in hair and nail care and make-up artistry.
She said customers will not only leave with luxury style, but can also take joy in knowing they are giving back to the children and families of Bermuda.
“Big Brother Big Sisters of Bermuda is a wonderful charity that has amazing volunteers,” she added.
The salon, located at 20 Reid Street, will announce how many children are able to receive free cuts and styles on August 2. BBBS will select which children are to receive the service.
