A 19-year-old man has been charged with four counts of sexual assault.

He is accused of having unlawful carnal knowledge with two 14-year-old girls in Devonshire on February 8, and administering cannabis to the girls in order to have sexual relations with them.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released the man on $5,000 bail with one surety and ordered him not to interfere with the complainants.

He will be tried on May 29.
