A pro-cannabis reform group is encouraging residents to send in submissions about decriminalisation and legalisation and even if reform is needed.

The Cannabis Reform Collaborative (CRC) wants public input and research into its final ‘advisory document’.

“The CRC final advisory document will be as strong as those that contribute to it,” said group leader, Stratton Hatfield. “We are requesting that the general public submit their own research and opinions on the topic of reform.

“This way the community can provide their input and have their ideas represented in the final document to be submitted to government.”

Mr Hatfield said members of the public can choose to write about any subject on cannabis reform, with consideration toward: cannabis tourism, the health impact of cannabis use, proposed regulations for cannabis use, examination of the impact of current policies, as well as prevention and educational techniques.

Full submission guidelines are available on the CRC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/bda.crc/.
