Woman admits drunk driving

A Warwick woman has admitted to driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

Zoe Mulholland, 41, was seen by police officers driving east along Parliament Street shortly before 2.00am on October 13, prosecutor Susan Mulligan told Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Officers then observed Mulholland collide with a parked car and continue to drive down Parliament Street.

After being stopping by police, Mulholland denied she had been involved in an accident, although officers could observe damage to the front end of her car.

Asked by police if she had been drinking, Mulholland said she had been to a wine tasting earlier in the night.

She was then arrested and charged.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined Mulholland $1,500 and disqualified her from driving all vehicles for 12 months.
