Firefighters battled a brush fire near Trinity Church Road in Hamilton Parish for almost an hour on Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Service spokesman Lt Leonard Davis said a total of ten firefighters battled to contain blaze.

Sergeant Caleb Zuill said: “The fire took approximately one hour to bring under due to the size of the area which was involved. Once the fire was brought under control all of the hot-spots where extinguished to prevent the brush from reigniting.”

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
