Teen motorcyclist collides with ambulance
A Southampton teenager is in hospital after his motorcycle collided with an ambulance on Saturday.
The crash happened after around 4.00am near the junction of Riviera Road and Middle Road in Sandys.
“It appears that an ambulance was being driven along Middle Road and a motorcycle was being ridden along the same road when the vehicles collided,” said a police spokesman.
“At last check, the motorcyclist was listed in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.”
While both vehicles were damaged there were no other reported injuries.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said that a Sandys woman injured last week while crossing the road in Southampton remains in stable condition in the hospital.
The 48-year-old was reportedly struck by a motorcycle near the junction of Middle Road and Industrial Park Road.
