Driver charged with causing grievous body harm

A Smith’s man was charged with causing grievous bodily harm while driving under the influence of drink when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.
Arthur Jones, 30, of Manor House Drive, denied injuring Gerald Wells and driving a vehicle while the proportion of alcohol in his blood exceeded the legal limit.
The alleged offences took place on September 22 last year on North Shore Road.
Magistrate Nicole Stoneham released Mr Jones on $2000 bail.
