An 83-year-old Smith’s man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to another man by careless driving.

David Tannock is alleged to have injured Michael Mello by driving without due care and attention on February 5 this year, prosecutor Cindy Clarke told Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Magistrate Justin Williams released Mr Tannock on $2,000 bail.

Mr Tannock will appear for trial on April 10.

Meanwhile, in Magistrates Court today a Pembroke man was charged with possessing more than 11 grams of cannabis.

Leon Richardson, 42, was arrested on October 23 last year for the offence, prosecutor Cindy Clarke told Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Magistrate Justin Williams released Mr Richardson on $2,500 bail.

Mr Richardson will appear for trial on April 10.
