Second man charged in murder of Gary Cann

Jermaine Simmons, 38, has been charged with the premeditated murder of Gary (Fingas) Cann.
Appearing in Magistrates’ Court this morning, Mr Simmons was not required to enter a plea as the case will go to a Supreme Court trial.
He is charged with murdering Mr Cann in Sandys on December 15, 2009, and using a firearm while committing the murder.
Mr Simmons is the second man to be charged in connection with the murder.
Previously Zakai Cann pleaded not guilty to the same offence.
Gary Cann was fatally shot at the home of his girlfriend on Sound View Road in Somerset. He was 22 years old at the time of his death.
Mr Simmons was refused bail. He will appear in court again on April 14.
