A Devonshire man has been charged with stealing a lobster from L’Oriental Restaurant.

Jevon Bean, 40, denied in Magistrates’ Court stealing a $30 lobster belonging to the Little Venice Group on March 17.

Mr Bean was on probation at the time of the alleged offence, prosecutor Nicole Smith told the court.

No other details of the case were revealed in court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released Mr Bean on $1,000 bail.

He will be tried on July 14.
