Man suffers broken nose after attack by woman
A 34-year-old man suffered numerous facial injuries after being attacked by a woman outside a Court Street bar late on Monday night.
According to Police, the man was head-butted twice in the nose and mouth and was later treated for a nasal bone fracture and other injuries at King Edward VII Hospital.
A police spokesman said: “The victim, a Devonshire man, was leaving a liquor licenced premises on Court Street when a 27-year-old female with whom he had a prior disagreement with, along with some other individuals, confronted him.
“The woman purportedly shouted expletives at the victim and commenced throwing punches at him.”
An investigation into the attack is ongoing and police are urging anyone who may have seen the incident to contact the Central Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
