Today marks International Jazz Day — and residents got in the mood ahead of time with workshops on jazz improvisation offered on Monday at the Bermuda School of Music.
Two classes presented by Wendell (Shine) Hayward showed students how to express themselves through music.
Today will be recognised with a proclamation between 12.15pm and 2.30pm on the steps of City Hall, with performances by the Warwick Academy Jazz Band, Tony Barry and Friends, Johnny Woolridge and Mr Hayward.
A Jazz Happy Hour will run from 5.15pm to 7.30pm at Docksiders Pub, followed by a free salsa class at 8pm and Latin jazz and salsa from 9.30pm.
