The Bermuda Government’s Overseas Representative Office in Washington, DC yesterday hosted first official Bermuda Day in the US capital.
Overseas representative Cheryl Packwood spoke at the reception for about 120 people, where members of Congress, diplomats and US business heads mingled with locals — and got to sample some Gosling’s Black Seal Rum.
The event was sponsored by the Bermuda Tourism Authority, whose chairman David Dodwell was on hand. Local music was provided by steel band musician Robert Symonds.
