A 34-year-old Sandys man was this morning charged with sexually touching a seven-year-old girl.

The defendant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was charged with of sexual exploiting the girl, and two further counts of intruding on the same girl’s privacy. The incidents all allegedly took place in Pembroke between September 1, 2004, and June 30, 2006.

He was not required to enter a plea as the matter will be heard by the Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released the defendant on $25,000 bail, ordering that the matter return to the courts in two weeks to be mentioned.
