Teen guilty for possessing cocaine
A Sandys teenager today pleaded guilty to possessing 0.03 grams of cocaine.
Tyler Christopher, 17, was in the Court and Elliot Street area of Pembroke on January 25 when police approached him, acting on information they had received, prosecutor Karen King told Magistrates’ Court.
Police searched Christopher and found nothing but when he took off the “skully” on his head, a brown paper twist fell out, according to Ms King.
Police found the bag contained a small amount of a “rocklike substance” that further analysis showed to be 0.03 grams of cocaine.
Christopher is currently awaiting sentencing for two other matters, having entered a guilty plea.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Christopher on $2,000 bail with one surety.
He will be tried on July 25.
