Two men on a motorcycle opened fire on a jet ski attempting to dock last night at Darrell’s Wharf, Warwick, according to police.

A police spokesman said that officers responded to a firearms incident shortly after 8pm.

He said: “It appears that the tour boat Coral Princesses was returning from an excursion with local patrons when a motorcycle appeared with two men.

“The suspects fired at a jet ski that apparently was following the boat into the dock.”

No injuries were reported. As of 9.30pm, the deserted vessel remained moored, with police officers and forensics at the scene, but boat staff declined to comment.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have seen two men leaving the scene of the shooting on a motorcycle, to contact them at 295-0011.
