Part of Valley Road in Paget had to be closed after a fire broke out at a apartment building.

Three Bermuda Fire and Rescue trucks tackled yesterday’s blaze, which started at about 3.20pm.

It is believed the fire started in the lower apartment of the property, which is behind Oleander Cycles.

No one was home at the time and no one was injured.

A lot of smoke damage was visible and an investigation in the cause of the blaze was continuing last night.
