A man accused of sexually assaulting a schoolgirl is to stand trial this month, the Supreme Court ruled yesterday.

The accused, from Pembroke, has been charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old girl and three counts of sexual exploitation of a young person.

He appeared before Puisne Judge Charles-Etta Simmons for mention, and a trial date was set for August 25.
