BESCO given airport contract
Bermuda Energy Services Company Ltd (BESCO) has been awarded the contract for preventive maintenance, fire detection and security at LF Wade International Airport.
The contract, which was awarded following a tendering process, will last two years and is worth $70,000 per year.
Airport General Manager Aaron Adderley said: “BESCO was selected because of its commitment to our aims and objectives as an international travel hub.
“We regard the maintenance of our fire detection and security systems of upmost importance. BESCO has a strong team of qualified technicians with experience of our systems and we’re delighted to be working with them.”
BESCO president Bryan Adams said the company are delighted to have won the contract, which will require the firm “to supply the technical resources, equipment and supervision necessary to provide regular inspections, maintenance and required restoration services to the fire detection systems, card access security systems and CCTV security systems at the airport.”
