St George’s ferry service to be suspended from tomorrow

Ferries to and from St George’s will be suspended starting tomorrow due to harsh weather, according to the Department of Marine and Ports.
A spokeswoman for the Ministry said that because of approaching inclement weather and changes to the cruise ship schedule, the St George’s ferry service will be suspended until further notice.
Both the Norwegian Dawn and the Explorer of the Seas are set to leave port early tomorrow to avoid the potential threat of Tropical Storm Cristobal, which is expected to pass to the Island’s northwest later this week.
The Bermuda Weather Service public forecast has warned of moderate to strong south-easterly winds tomorrow, with gust to gale force tomorrow night.
