Free school supplies will be given away today as part of a family-friendly event hosted by the PLP.

Bermuda’s young people are being invited to attend a “fun-filled afternoon” at Victor Scott Primary field.

The Back to School celebration is being hosted by MPs Walter Roban, Michael Weeks and Rolfe Commissiong.

“The Progressive Labour Party believes strongly in the value of educating Bermuda’s young people — they are the youth of today and the leaders of tomorrow,” a PLP statement said. “Activities will include fun castles, music and plenty of fun and games. There will be school supply giveaways for area residents.”

The event runs from noon until about 4pm.
