Open house for cabbies at Princess
An open house for Bermuda’s taxi drivers will be held on Wednesday at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
The all-day event from 8.30am to 4pm will give taxi drivers the opportunity to tour the hotel, see the recent renovations, enjoy some refreshments and get up-to-date information.
Hotel General Manager Allan Federer said: “Many of the taxi drivers are like extended family. They provide a wealth of information to our visitors and we are truly grateful for the service that they provide to Bermuda, particularly in the tourism industry.
“We thought that an open house would be a fun way to thank them for everything they do for us and for the Island and to give them a sneak peak of the phase two renovations to ensure they have the latest information about the hotel.”
Taxi drivers can show up at any time during the open house hours. Hotel tours will be given every 30 minutes and there is no need to register.
The recently renovated Princess has 410 guestrooms, including 43 suites, and more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor reception and meeting rooms.
