Woman’s bag snatched by biker

A woman was dragged along the ground after a motorcyclist snatched her handbag.
The 38-year-old Pembroke victim was targeted as she walked from the Fairmont Hamilton Princess to her nearby home.
The robbery took place at around 10pm on Monday on Pitts Bay Road.
The motorcyclist escaped, heading toward the City of Hamilton, with the black handbag containing a quantity of cash and personal items.
The Pembroke woman was treated for abrasions to her arm and lower leg at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses, particularly persons who may have been in the Pitts Bay Road area, at about 10pm on Monday should contact the Criminal Investigation Unit on 247-1383 or 247-1429.
