New parking rates for North Hamilton have been changed for zone three, after “an in-depth review”, a City Hall spokeswoman said.

The rate has been reduced from $1 to 75 cents, she said, in the wake of “input from, and discussion with, local stakeholders including residents and businesses”.

Zone three, which covers roads north of Dundonald Street, was hit by confusion last month after numerous signs advertising the new rates were taken down.

The new rate will take effect on Monday, October 13, the spokeswoman said.

“To activate the new rate for zone three, EasyPark users can bring their devices to City Hall, or any other top-up facility, to have it recalibrated,” she said.

“Alternatively, the new rate will automatically recalibrate with any future top-ups.”
