Drivers have been asked to avoid Harbour Road, as Belco crews continue with “critical repairs” in the area of Stowe Hill and Pomander Road, Paget.

Sections of the road have been closed off to traffic. A Government spokeswoman apologised for the traffic delays, saying the job had been expected to be completed by today.

“However, due to the complexity and extensive work involved, repairs are ongoing,” she said.

Harbour Road took fallen trees and other debris during Tropical Storm Fay, which also dashed several boats against the adjoining shoreline.

An advisory will be issued once the restoration is complete.
