The Corporation of Hamilton’s offices in City Hall will close at 2pm tomorrow ahead of Hurricane Gonzalo.

They are due to reopen at 9am on Monday.

All trash and recycling must be placed on the street for collection before 5pm on Thursday afternoon, the Corporation said.

Garbage put out after that time will not be collected but trash collection is expected to resume as normal on Saturday evening.

The Corporation urged the public to stay off the streets during and after the storm unless absolutely necessary for safety reasons and to allow Corporation staff to clean up the city.
