Firefighters dealt with a blaze in Warwick
Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze in Warwick at 6.30pm as hurricane winds bore down just 90 minutes before the eye of the storm.
Visible smoke and flames could be seen in the area, a fire service spokeswoman said.
No further information was available.
As of 6.18pm this evening, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service has attended more than 20 calls, including fire, medical incidents, and roof damage.
