Almost all Government schools will be open tomorrow.

Only two schools — St. John’s Pre-School and Devonshire Pre-School — will remain closed while Belco crews continue to work to restore power.

A Government statement following a meeting of the Emergency Measures Organisation this afternoon revealed that the Causeway had reopened to two-way traffic.

However, from time to time it will resume to one-lane traffic as repairs partial areas of the bridge are conducted.

The statement added: “Earlier today bus service resumed as normal on all routes except Route 1 — Route 1 is Hamilton to Grotto Bay via Tucker’s Town.

“Regular ferry service is operational and the ferry service to St. George’s or Orange Route will resume on Wednesday.”

The Bermuda Regiment remains under partial embodiment. Regiment soldiers will continue the task of assisting with clean-up and repair efforts around the Island.

East End garbage collection will get underway tomorrow. For those private lanes/streets that are partially impassable, residents are encouraged to bring their refuse near the main road.

Tarpaulin collection will be discontinued from Warwick Camp tomorrow. Instead residents needing tarpaulin for roof covering are asked to collect from the Fire Station on King Street.

The Tyne’s Bay public residential waste drop off area will be open through Friday from 7am to 7pm. Marsh Folly Dump will be open from 7.30am to 6.30pm until Wednesday. All dumping fees will be waived for the remainder of the week.
