The remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo are today battering Britain, and the storm has been linked to three deaths in the UK: one woman lost her life to a falling tree, while two men died separately in vehicle-related incidents.
A severe weather warning is in effect for Britain until 4pm Bermuda time. The storm has caused transport delays, including flights from Heathrow Airport.
The storm passed over Ireland last night, with winds of 70mph blasting over Donegal and 60mph in the Republic’s western province of Connacht. Again, widespread transport delays were reported.
