The keen eyes of NASA satellites were able to pick up the paler seas off Bermuda, left behind after Hurricane Gonzalo stirred up sediments from the sea floor.
The Aqua and Terra satellites caught before and after pictures of the Island from space, showing streams of sandy waters extending to the east and south of the Island.
In the aftermath of Gonzalo’s passing, the seas off Bermuda’s shores were a strikingly pale hue after being churned by several hours of hurricane winds and waves.
The satellite pictures give a detailed impression of the sand stirred from the shallows near Bermuda, as well as runoff from the Island — which show as green and blue wisps fanning out from the shores.
