Young girl injured in road crash
A seven-year-old girl and her mother were injured in a three-vehicle collision near Blackwatch Pass yesterday.
According to a police spokesman, officers responded to reports of a crash involving a car, a van and a motorcycle on North Shore Road at around 8.15am.
“The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old Pembroke woman and her pillion passenger, a seven-year-old girl, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries,” the spokesman said.
“Both mother and daughter were later discharged. There were no other injuries reported. All three vehicles were damaged.”
Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact PC Ian Scotton on 295-0011.
The spokesman also noted that a 51-year-old Hamilton Parish man, injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash last Thursday, remains in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit.
That collision occurred on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Tee Street shortly after midnight.
And a 35-year-old contract worker injured after falling off a ladder in Warwick on Saturday also remains in ICU. At last check, he remained in serious condition.
