Mother denies assaulting man

A mother has denied assaulting a man and damaging his vehicle.

Kali Bean, 31, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court this morning to assaulting Terrence Samuels in Pembroke yesterday.

She also denied damaging the wiper blades and wiper arms on his vehicle, with costs estimated at $174.

Prosecutor Maria Sofianos said that it was believed that Mr Samuels was the father of Ms Bean’s baby, although that had not been confirmed by a paternity test.

Magistrate Archibald Warner set a trial date of January 26 and granted Ms Bean, from Happy Valley Road, Pembroke, bail of $1,000, with the condition that she does not interfere with Mr Samuels.
