Paget Post Office returned to full service at the beginning of this week, a government spokeswoman announced today.

The building lost power in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Fay and Hurricane Gonzalo.

It also sustained damage to its electrical systems during the two storms.

Repair work was conducted last weekend and the post office was fully operational again on Monday.

“Paget Post Office lost electrical power in the aftermath of TS Fay and Hurricane Gonzalo,” a government spokeswoman said in a statement.

“Once power was restored to the surrounding area, it was discovered that the office had sustained some damage to its internal electrical systems, which impacted its point of sales system, its computer and other automated systems.

“These issues were addressed over the past weekend and the office resumed full customer retail service on October 27.”
