Former bus driver fined $400

A bus driver has been fined after she admitted causing a road accident in Hamilton.
Onika Cross, 42, of Devonshire, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court this morning to driving without due care and attention on August 20.
She was driving a pink bus when she pulled out of a bay on Front Street and collided with a car.
Ms Cross, who no longer works for the Public Transportation Board, was fined $400 by Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe, with 40 days in prison in default of payment. She also received five demerit points on her licence.
