Man accused of causing bike death
A 25-year-old motorcyclist has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a man in a two-bike accident in Hamilton.
Jason Eugene Stovell faces three charges in connection with the fatal accident that occurred at the junction of Reid Street and Court Street on October 18.
He is charged with causing the death of Winston Jones by dangerous driving.
He is also accused of causing the death of Mr Jones, 49, while driving without insurance.
Mr Stovell, of Paget, is further charged with causing bodily harm to Mr Jones’s son, Sherwin, who was a passenger on his father’s motorcycle by “wanton and furious” driving.
He was not required to enter pleas to the charges as they can only be heard in Supreme Court.
