Man denies cannabis charge

A 27-year-old man has denied having cannabis.
Tai Bean, of Verdmont Road, Smith’s, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court this morning to possession of 6.91 grams of the drug on June 11.
He also pleaded not guilty to being in possession of a metal grinder on the same date, for use with the preparation of a controlled drug.
Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe set a trial date of March 2 and granted Mr Bean $1,500 bail.
