Mount Hill shooting suspects bailed
The three men arrested over last Thursday’s shooting at Mount Hill have been given police bail and investigations continue, Police said this morning.
Acting Chief Inspector Dave Greenidge added that a 29-year-old man had appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with the Remembrance Day shooting at Somerset Cricket Club, and said another man was in custody in relation to a shooting on that day.
He thanked the public for assisting Police during their inquiries, saying that officers had received “a very positive community response” and “we want that co-operation to continue”.
Acting Assistant Commissioner James Howard also thanked those who had already come forward and provided information, but said that there were “still members of the public out there in our community that have information and can assist us”.
He said: “Come forward, provide that information and let’s get us back to a sense of calm, the type of lifestyle we are all used to.”
Anyone with information can contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
“Come forward, use that number,” Mr Howard said. “Let’s bring peace back to the Island.”
