A senior citizen suffered minor injuries after falling off an auxiliary cycle in Hamilton.
According to a police spokesman, officers responded to Church Street at around 12.30pm on Tuesday after receiving reports of a single-vehicle collision near the junction with Parliament Street.
“It appears that an 82-year-old Devonshire man was riding an auxiliary cycle along Church Street when he fell off,” the spokesman said. “The senior citizen was apparently uninjured and assisted by members of the public in the area until the arrival of EMTs.”
The senior was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance as a precaution, but later discharged.
