Free forum on shared parenting
The benefits of shared parenting will be promoted at a free public forum next week.
The event is being hosted by child advocacy group ChildWatch, a long-term campaigner for joint custody and fathers’ rights.
“Shared Parenting: Moving Bermuda Forward” will be held next Thursday between 6.30pm and 9pm at St Theresa’s Cathedral Hall on Laffan Street, Hamilton.
Premier Michael Dunkley is due to open the event, which will also feature a panel of local professionals and an internationally renowned expert on co-parenting, Dr Edward Kruk.
Dr Kruk, from the University of British Columbia, is an acclaimed professor and author and president of the International Council for Shared Parenting.
He has also been presented with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his research and service contributions.
