St George’s North MP Kenny Bascome delivered a big “thank you to Bermuda for all the love and support” shown to his deceased wife and to himself in his time of loss.

Often quiet in the House of Assembly, an emotional Mr Bascome said he was short on words to express gratitude since the loss of his wife, Rochelle, who died on August 19.

“I have been overwhelmed — I would just like to say ‘thank you’ to Bermuda,” the One Bermuda Alliance MP closed, shortly before leaving Parliament just before the close of the morning session.

The two were married for 32 years.
