BIU executive denies driving while impaired

Court appearance: Louis Somner pleaded not guilty
The second vice president of the Bermuda Industrial Union has denied driving while impaired.
Louis Somner appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
He pleaded not guilty to driving while impaired on South Road on December 10 and exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit.
Mr Somner was granted $1,500 bail by Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo and a trial date was set for February 9.
