Police have released a statement announcing the arrest of four people as part of an active investigation.

A police spokesman said: “As a result of an ongoing serious crime investigation, four persons were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm this afternoon.

“As this is an active investigation no further information will be disseminated at this juncture.”
