The Ministry of Public Works has advised the public that Gibbs Hill Lighthouse in Southampton will be closed from January 19 until further notice.

The purpose of the closure is to enable work crews to undertake repairs at the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse property that was affected by Hurricane Gonzalo.

It is expected that it will take approximately six weeks for the repairs to be completed.
