The victim of Saturday’s stabbing in Queen Elizabeth Park has been transferred to a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The 28-year-old man was found at about 7pm, motionless, unresponsive and bleeding, with a serious gash to his head and neck.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, believed to have occurred between 5pm and 7pm, to call the main Police number, 295-0011.
